The hazard

Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the cover for the 120 V electrical outlet in the front passthrough utility panel may not have been installed correctly. As a result, the wiring could be damaged and cause a short circuit and/or electrical arcing (sparks). Safety Risk: A short circuit and/or electrical arcing could create the risk of electrocution and/or fire. Corrective Actions: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair the wiring.
