Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R: Engine
Affects Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R · 2024–2026 — about 735 vehicles.
The hazard
Issue: On certain motorcycles, the recall repairs completed by a Kawasaki dealer during Transport Canada recall no. 2025-335 may not be effective. As a result, another repair is required. On certain motorcycles, the crankshaft bolts may have been over-tightened during production. As a result, a crankshaft bushing could become damaged. If this happens, the engine could stall while driving. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2025-335. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Kawasaki advises not to ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect the crankshaft bolts and bearing. The dealer will tighten the crankshaft bolts correctly and repair or replace parts and/or the engine, as necessary.
