The hazard

Issue: On certain fire trucks, the cab tilt cylinder may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the cylinder could go beyond its limit and separate. If this happens, the cab could drop suddenly. Safety Risk: A cab that drops suddenly could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Spartan Fire will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to an authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the cab tilt cylinder.
