The hazard

Issue: On certain transit buses, the ground connection on the bus bar in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) roof unit, may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connection could loosen and overheat. This problem could also cause the engine to stall. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats can create the risk of a fire. A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the ground connection.
