Isuzu FVR, FTR: Electrical

Affects Isuzu FVR, FTR · 2022–2023 — about 14 vehicles.

The hazard

Issue: On certain trucks, the wiring for the Mobileye camera may have been routed incorrectly. As a result, the wiring could become damaged by contact with dash components and could overheat and melt. If this happens, the turn signals and hazard lights may not work properly, and the Mobileye collision avoidance information would not be displayed. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts can create the risk of a fire. Turn signals that don't work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. Hazard lamps that don't work could make the vehicle less visible. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a collision avoidance system that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect the Mobileye camera cable. It will be re-routed or replaced, as necessary.
