The hazard

Issue: On certain transit buses, the traction inverter could overheat and fail. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power while driving, including a loss of power steering assist. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power could increase the risk of a crash. A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Proterra will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
