Lion C: High Voltage
Affects Lion C · 2019–2025 — about 808 vehicles.
The hazard
Issue: On certain school buses, the high-voltage cables could be damaged by contact with the surge tank. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power while driving, including a loss of power steering assist and reduced braking. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power could increase the risk of a crash. A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort, and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, reduced braking can cause an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Lion Électrique will advise owners by mail and provide you with precautions that may be taken to reduce the safety risks. Lion will also contact owners and arrange for a service team to replace the surge tank support. The high-voltage cables will be inspected for damage, and replaced if necessary.
