Diono Radian 3RXT: Seats and Restraints
Affects Diono Radian 3RXT · 2020–2022 — about 44K vehicles.
The hazard
Issue: On certain child car seats, the owner's manual doesn't provide clear instructions for how to lock the vehicle seat belt when using the seat in a rear-facing position. UPDATE - After further discussions between Diono and Transport Canada, it was determined that this issue is unlikely to affect safety. Safety Risk: This small omission is unlikely to affect safety, as Diono has indicated that the child seat has a seat belt lock off tool that allows an owner to lock their vehicle car seat belts without using the vehicle's seat belt ratcheting system. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Owners can continue to use their seat. Diono has made changes to correct all future owner's manuals. Owners can download a copy of the updated owner's manual at: https://diono.ca/asset/639c4b97220f0/Radian%C2%AE%203RXT%C2%AE_Manual_NA.pdf. Owners can also contact the company if they have any questions on how to use the seat.
