The hazard

Issue: On certain school buses, the warning lamp for the electronic stability control (ESC) system doesn't turn on when there is an ESC malfunction. Instead, only the traction control lamp will turn on. Safety Risk: A driver that isn't aware of an ESC malfunction could have increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your bus to a dealership to update the antilock brake system (ABS) electronic control unit.
