Polaris Phoenix 200: Powertrain
Affects Polaris Phoenix 200 · 2011–2021 — about 992 vehicles.
The hazard
Issue: On certain ATVs, the throttle lever stop could break. If this happens, the throttle could stick in the open position. Note: This replaces recalls A-18-06 and A-20-01 (Transport Canada recalls 2018-194 and 2020-169). ATVs that were repaired under either recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: If the throttle sticks in the open position, an operator may be unable to slow or control the speed of the ATV. This could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Polaris advises that you should stop using your ATV immediately. The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your ATV to a dealer to replace the throttle speed control bracket.
