The hazard

On certain vehicles, an error with the engine software could cause the engine to stall. This would also result in a loss of power steering assist and power brake assist. A sudden engine stall, when combined with traffic and road conditions, and the driver’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or injury.
