The hazard

Certain tires may have been manufactured with the incorrect belt rubber compound. This could cause poor adhesion of the rubber to the belt wires which could lead to a separation of the tread and cause tire failure. If the tread were to separate while a vehicle is in motion, it could cause a loss of vehicle control, which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Dealers will replace affected tires.
