The hazard

On chassis cabs equipped with a pressure governor or hand throttle, a software defect could cause a surge in engine speed without warning when the fire apparatus is in "pump mode". Increased engine speed could cause an increase in water pressure at the end of the fire hose, which could increase the risk of personal injury. Correction: Dealers will update the software.
