Evenflo Secure Kid: Label

Affects Evenflo Secure Kid · 2012–2013 — about 1K vehicles.

The hazard

Certain child car seats may not comply with the requirements of Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations. When used as a booster seat, the French labelling incorrectly instructs consumers to pass the shoulder portion of the vehicle seat belt through the lower lap-belt guide. Should the booster seat be installed this way, a piece of the lower lap-belt guide could break, exposing sharp edges which could injure a child occupant or caregiver. Correction: All registered owners will receive new labelling and instructions on how to affix the labels. Non-registered owners of affected car seats, or owners who have moved, should contact Evenflo at 937-773-3971 to register and obtain a labelling kit. The affected car seats should not be returned to the retailer. Click here for more information
