Mitsubishi Fuso FE84D, FE85D +2 more: Brakes
Affects Mitsubishi Fuso FE84D, FE85D, FE83D, FG84D · 2005–2006 — about 470 vehicles.
The hazard
On certain vehicles, the brake vacuum hose may have been manufactured with insufficient wall thickness, allowing the hose to collapse during normal vehicle operation. If this happens, brake power assist could become inoperable, leading to increased vehicle stopping distance. Note: on the FE83D, FE84D and FG84D models, the hose provides vacuum to the brake booster. On the FE85D, the hose provides vacuum to the exhaust brake system. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the vacuum hose.
