The hazard
On certain infant child restraints, the UAS (Universal Anchorage System) harness was misrouted. The adjuster for the UAS harness was inadvertently placed on the child's left side of the convenience base. In this orientation, the retainer strap used to tie the UAS to the base potentially interferes with the adjuster, possibly limiting the ability of the installer to take up slack and tighten the base adequately. Correction: Evenflo will send instructions to registered owners advising them how to identify misrouted UAS harnesses and how to easily change the UAS harness adjuster to the opposite side of the convenience base.
