The hazard

Certain engines equipped with Kysor engine shutdown systems may have an interference condition between the accelerator return springs and the shutdown actuator. This interference may cause the throttle return to idle time to exceed the minimum time requirement specified by Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 124 - Accelerator Control Systems.
