The hazard

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the insulation on the wires for the shore power inlet may not have been removed properly. As a result, the wires could be exposed and cause electrical arcing (sparks). Safety Risk: Electrical arcing can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises you not to use the shore power inlet until the recall repairs are completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair the wiring for the shore power inlet.
