The hazard
Issue: On certain vehicles, the nuts for the ball joints that connect the front upper control arms to the steering knuckles may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the upper control arm could separate from the knuckle. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect for loose and/or missing nut(s).
