Jeep Grand Cherokee: Seats and Restraints
Affects Jeep Grand Cherokee · 2024 — about 4 vehicles.
The hazard
Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the upper tether anchorages for child seats may not be properly welded to the second-row seat frame(s). As a result, the child seat tether strap could detach in a crash. Note: This recall only affects Grand Cherokee L models. Safety Risk: A child seat that is not properly secured could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to reinforce the upper tether anchorages on the second-row seatback frame(s).
