The hazard

Issue: On certain vehicles, the bolt for the 12V ground connection under the driver seat may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the connection could loosen and overheat. Safety Risk: A loose or overheated ground connection could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair the 12V ground connection.
