Mercedes-Benz GLE Class: Brakes
Affects Mercedes-Benz GLE Class · 2024 — about 150 vehicles.
The hazard
Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem for the electronic stability control (ESP) control unit could cause the power brake assist not to work properly. As a result, there may be an increase in brake pedal effort and reduced braking. Note: This recall only affects plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the ESP control unit software.
