Mercedes-Benz C Class: Electrical
Affects Mercedes-Benz C Class · 2022–2023 — about 90 vehicles.
The hazard
Issue: On certain vehicles, the bolts for some 12 V and 48 V ground connections may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the wiring harness might overheat and melt. On plug-in hybrid models, this problem could also cause the electric drive system not to work. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the ground connections, and repair them if necessary.
