The hazard

Issue: On certain vehicles, the high-voltage electric heater could fail. If this happens, you may experience reduced cabin heat, and the windshield defrost system may not work properly. Safety Risk: A windshield defroster that doesn't work may cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash.
