The hazard

Issue: On certain electric school buses, a software calibration error could cause the anti-rollback feature to activate. This could happen when the bus is in reverse, pointed downhill, and the driver releases the brakes. As a result, the bus could move backwards uphill faster than a driver expects. Safety Risk: A vehicle that reverses faster than expected could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your bus to a Cummins authorized service center to update the system control module (SCM) software.
