Affects Maxi-Cosi Coral XP, Mico XP Max · 2020–2022 — about 2K vehicles.

The hazard

Issue: On certain infant car seats, the lower universal anchorage system (UAS) used to attach the seat base could fail. If this happens, the seat could detach in a crash. Safety Risk: An infant seat that detaches in a crash creates an increased risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Dorel will mail a notice to all registered owners instructing with instruction not to install the infant seat base using the lower universal anchorage system (UAS) connectors. Dorel advises that you may continue to use the seat with the base, or with the shell only, if you install it using the vehicle seat belt. You should contact Dorel Juvenile Canada to obtain a free replacement base, which the company will provide once it's available.
