Arctic Cat Alterra 600: Suspension

Affects Arctic Cat Alterra 600 · 2022–2023 — about 1K vehicles.

The hazard

Issue: On certain ATVs, the rear control arm (A-arm) mounting brackets on the frame could crack. If this happens, a rear A-arm could separate from the frame. Safety Risk: A rear control arm separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Textron will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your ATV to a dealership to inspect the rear upper A-arm mounting brackets and install a support bracket. If the A-arm mounting brackets are cracked, the frame will be repaired. To reduce the safety risk, Textron advises that you should inspect the rear upper A-arm mount periodically, and stop using your ATV immediately if you see any cracks.
