The hazard

Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the exhaust exit for the water heater is located too close to the tail lamp. As a result, the tail lamp lens could melt. Safety Risk: A melted tail lamp could make the vehicle less visible to others, and could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to install a new flush-mount tail lamp.
