Yamaha Viking: Brakes
Affects Yamaha Viking · 2022 — about 78 vehicles.
The hazard
Issue: On certain side-by-side UTVs, the retaining clamp for the rear brake line may not be positioned correctly. As a result, the rear brake line could be damaged by contact with the front driveshaft. This could lead to a brake fluid leak and result in reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Yamaha will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your UTV to a dealership to check if the retaining clamp for the rear brake line was installed correctly. The dealer will replace the brake line, if necessary.
