The hazard

Issue: On a small number of vehicles, a software problem could cause the instrument cluster to reset while driving. This can cause the lighting to turn off momentarily and some warnings may not be visible for a short time. Canadian regulations require the instrument cluster to be illuminated when the headlights are turned on and require warnings to work at all times. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Mercedes-Benz has made changes to correct this issue on all new vehicles.
