The hazard

Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the nozzle of the in-tank fuel pump may not have been installed correctly. As a result, it could detach from the fuel pump. If this happens, the engine could suddenly lose power and stall while driving. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the fuel system and replace the fuel tank, as necessary.
