The hazard

Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause a sudden loss of drive power. If this happens, a warning message "Motor control error Stop vehicle in a safe place" will appear on the vehicle display. You can restart the vehicle by pushing the On/Off button. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealer to reprogram the power electronics and the electronic control unit (ECU).
