The hazard

Issue: On certain trucks, the tie rod arm and steering arm bolts may be defective and could break. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Note: This recall only affects trucks built with a Detroit front axle. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the tie rod arm bolts and the steering arm bolts.
