The hazard
Issue: On certain trucks, the brake pedal may be missing a clip to secure it to the master cylinder push rod. As a result, the brake pedal could separate and cause a loss of brakes. Note: This recall only affects RAM 1500 Classic trucks equipped with non-adjustable pedals. Safety Risk: A loss of brakes can create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the retaining clip that secures the master cylinder push rod to the brake pedal. A new clip will be installed, if required. To reduce safety risk, FCA recommends that you should not drive your truck until you receive instructions on how to have this inspected.
