Keystone Cougar: Electrical
Affects Keystone Cougar · 2020–2021 — about 146 vehicles.
The hazard
Issue: On certain travel trailers, the power inverter may have been wired incorrectly. As a result, the shore power cord may be back-fed with electricity when the inverter is turned on. Safety Risk: A power cord that is back-fed with electricity could create a risk of electrocution. Corrective Actions: Keystone will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to test the function of the inverter. Dealers will rewire the inverter, as needed. Keystone recommends that if the inverter is turned on and any circuits other than the "Off The Grid Inverter Outlet" circuit is powered on, to turn off the inverter and have it inspected.
