The hazard

Issue: On a small number of Jetta GLI models, one or both of the front wheel bearings could be defective. This could lead to poor driving performance and/or cause a wheel to break. Safety Risk: A sudden change in vehicle handling or a broken wheel could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will contact owners by telephone and instruct you to stop driving your vehicle. Volkswagen will arrange free towing to the nearest dealership. The front wheel bearing assemblies, wheels, and wheel bolts will be replaced.
