Mercedes-Benz E Class: Airbag

Affects Mercedes-Benz E Class · 2019 — about 318 vehicles.

The hazard

Issue: Certain AMG E 53 and E 63 S models may have been equipped with an incorrect driver-front airbag. As a result, the airbag may not perform properly in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly in a crash could increase the risk of injury to the driver. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to check the driver airbag module and the software for the airbag system. If necessary, the airbag will be replaced and the software will be updated.
