The hazard

Issue: On certain motorcycles, the oil cooler hoses may not have been properly attached to the oil pipes. This could result in an oil leak. Safety Risk: An oil leak near the rear tire could affect handling and control of the motorcycle. This could increase the risk of a crash. In addition, an oil leak near the exhaust system could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the oil cooler assembly.
