The hazard

Issue: On certain snowmobiles, unburned fuel may ignite in a hot exhaust pipe. This can happen when the engine returns to idle after running under heavy loads or high-speeds. This could melt the plastics around the exhaust pipe and cause a fire. Safety Risk: A fire creates a risk of injury and/or property damage. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the Electronic Control Module (ECM) reprogrammed. Note: Owners should not use their snowmobile until the recall repairs are completed.
