The hazard
On certain motorcycles, the wiring leading to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) could become corroded and the ECU could receive incorrect signals. This may cause the engine speed not to return to idle when the throttle is released, creating the potential for of a loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install new wiring harness components to bypass the defective wiring connection.
