Mercedes-Benz S Class: Electrical
Affects Mercedes-Benz S Class · 2018 — about 88 vehicles.
The hazard
On certain vehicles, the two nuts that secure the power bars inside the pre-fuse-box in the trunk might not have been installed. If the power bars are not secure, it could lead to a higher electrical resistance, increasing the risk of fire. Additionally, an intermittent contact between the power bars could lead to a loss of vehicle functions. The engine operation, the seat belt functions and the instrument cluster could be affected, increasing the risk of a crash and injuries. Correction: Dealers will inspect the pre-fuse-box and replace if necessary.
