Polaris Slingshot: Seats and Restraints
Affects Polaris Slingshot · 2015–2018 — about 2K vehicles.
The hazard
On certain vehicles, the seat belt buckle and seat back may dislodge from seat base and/or the seat sliders may not latch properly. If the seat were to slide unexpectedly, vehicle control could be affected, and/or in the event of a crash, if the seat belt buckle and seat back were to dislodge from the seat base, an occupant may not be properly restrained, which would increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the weld of the seat belt bracket and inspect the seat slider latching function. If a weld is found incomplete or missing, or if a slider does not latch properly, the seat base will be replaced. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2019136.
