Yamaha Drive (Ydra), Drive (Ydre) +2 more: Brakes
Affects Yamaha Drive (Ydra), Drive (Ydre), DRIVE2 (DR2A), DRIVE2 (DR2E) · 2015–2018 — about 9K vehicles.
The hazard
On certain golf car vehicles, the rear brake cables may have been kinked in the area where they connect to the brake equalizer at time of installation. This could cause the cables to weaken over time and potentially break. If a brake cable were to break during operation, the vehicle would have limited stopping ability, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the brake cables for signs of damage, and will replace as necessary.
