International Workstar: Lights and Instruments
Affects International Workstar · 2016–2017 — about 206 vehicles.
The hazard
Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. For vehicles built with the snow plow option, the necessary body controller programming for the snow plow’s Day Time Running Lights (DRLs) may not have been installed during assembly. This could cause the snow plow DRLs to not illuminate when the headlight switch is off, which is contrary to the requirements of the standard. This could reduce vehicle conspicuity during daylight hours, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will recalibrate the body control module.
