Newmar Essex Class A Motorhome, Mountain Aire Class A Motorhome +1 more: Steering

Affects Newmar Essex Class A Motorhome, Mountain Aire Class A Motorhome, London Aire Class A Motorhome · 2014–2015 — about 19 vehicles.

The hazard

On certain motorhomes, the power steering fluid temperature may exceed the hose material rating. This could cause the power steering hose to rupture without warning during low-speed driving. A leaking power steering hose could result in the loss of power steering assist and increased steering effort, which depending on the driver's reactions and traffic conditions, could increase the risk of a crash resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the affected power steering hose with one that has a higher temperature rating.
