Polaris RZR 900, RZR XP 4 +1 more: Fuel System

Affects Polaris RZR 900, RZR XP 4, RZR XP · 2015 — about 4K vehicles.

The hazard

On certain side-by-side UTV’s, the fuel tank vent line could be kinked. A kinked fuel tank vent line can cause the fuel tank to build pressure and expand. This expansion may cause the fuel tank to come into contact with the spinning prop shaft, which could lead to a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the fuel tank vent line and if a kinked fuel tank vent line is found, they will inspect the fuel tank to ensure that no damage is present, and will repair as necessary. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2016-167. Please see recall 2016167 for more information. Click here for more information.
