Honda CBR1000RR (Fireblade): Suspension

Affects Honda CBR1000RR (Fireblade) · 2014–2015 — about 61 vehicles.

The hazard

On certain CBR-1000RR SP models, the rear shock absorber may not have been manufactured correctly. The piston rod nut may have been tightened before the piston had the correct full metal-to-metal contact. This could result in the nut loosening, which would prevent proper rear suspension action, and could cause poor handling that may result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will repair/replace the rear shock absorber.
