Indian Motorcycle Scout: Brakes
Affects Indian Motorcycle Scout · 2015 — about 43 vehicles.
The hazard
On certain motorcycles, the rear master cylinder piston retaining ring may not have been fully seated into the machined groove of the master cylinder bore at time of manufacture. If the ring was not fully secured in the machined groove, it could result in a lack of brake fluid pressure to the rear caliper. This would increase stopping distances and could affect braking control, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, replace the rear brake master cylinder.
