Peterbilt 320, 388 +3 more: Steering
Affects Peterbilt 320, 388, 367, 365, 389 · 2009–2015 — about 574 vehicles.
The hazard
On certain vehicles, the tie rod end clamp bolts may not have been tightened to the correct specification. As a result, the tie rod ends could loosen, corrode, and eventually separate from the tie rod, resulting in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace tie rod assembly where the factory installed assembly has not been replaced.
