The hazard
On certain vehicles equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), the steering wheel assembly contains an incorrect horn contact plate. The contact plate could damage the ESC sensor mounted below the steering wheel due to insufficient clearance. This could result in a malfunction of the Electronic Stability Control system, which could increase the risk of a crash causing Injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the steering wheel horn contact plate and ESC sensor.
